Every day, these smart, passionate people work hard to help Let Me Run reach and inspire as many boys as possible.
After having children, running became a big part of my life for health reasons and to manage stress. Our family has always enjoyed being active outdoors and running was introduced to our boys at young ages. I've seen first-hand the before and after of how running and an active lifestyle positively impacts mood and behavior in my own children. I feel grateful to be part of such a great program that aids in developing social, emotional and physical health for our youth.
When my oldest son joined Let Me Run, my husband and I were so impressed! As parents to four sons (and one daughter), we were looking for character-enriching physical activities that focused on team-building instead of winning. Let Me Run focuses on the challenges unique to our boys in today's world while concentrating their physical energy on completing a 5K as a team. Now, we have our third son joining the team this year and I have the opportunity to help spread Let Me Run throughout St. Louis to more boys who will benefit from the program like my own sons!
